Supposedly Tennessee beat out Texas for the best barbecue in the country last week, but it appears the King of Rock & Roll has his own opinion because he’s leaving Graceland and coming to Austin.
BBQ daydreams
On Wednesday, May 27, we’re switching up your dinner plans with what is surely to be a festive and alternative culinary experience. The Bread & Circus Supper Club is hosting Elvis’ Tiki Backyard BBQ at Palm Door on Sabine with all things Elvis-related. The cuisine will be widespread, including new takes on the classic Elvis sandwich, accompanied by wine pairings and cocktails. The music will of course be rockin’ and the attire will be festive. Dress to impress with your favorite Hawaiian-themed shirt (we know you have multiple), as The Austin Chronicle’s very own Elvis expert Sarah K. Wolf will be judging the Hawaiian T-shirt contest.
