Last night the Chrontourage street team headed to Ace’s Lounge for a packed house of Austin twitterers (or would it be tweople, twits, tweeters?… I don’t know…) for a fantastic night to benefit Charity:Water, a non-profit that drills water wells for people that don’t have access to clean drinking water. I have to admit that I was shocked by the turnout. I figured that it would be a pretty large group but there were times when I was shoulder to shoulder with strangers whose faces I didn’t recognize but the twitter names on their name tags were very familiar.
The beer flowed like wine, everyone was jovial and excited. I could sense that most people had the double pleasure of making new friends in person and helping out strangers in Africa.
The biggest problem now is that I can’t get “Blackberry Brandy” by T-Bird & The Breaks out of my head… but that is a good thing.
