Shea Little? Oh, just the guy who co-founded Bolm Studios, Big Medium, the East Austin Studio Tour, the West Austin Studio Tour, the Texas Biennial, and Cantanker magazine, that's all. Just one-third of the legendary Sodalitas trio of artists. Just a tall local feller with a complex creative agenda. Just taking a little break (Get it? A Little break?) from the relentless moving-and-shaking to present his first solo exhibition.

This one-day festival is a celebration of transgender and intersex creators in a vibrant night of music, film, performance, and visual art, featuring everything from the realist paintings of New Hampshire's Catherine Graffam, to the ethereal visual work of Austin's own Jonah Welch. Also, the debut of new episodes of Scout Fernandez' YouTube documentary series, Roaming Gender. And, mmmm, beverages by JuiceLand and Dripping Springs Vodka. So many pronouns, so much expression, the perfect way to kick off a new September!

For Eighties audio fetishists, Donald Fagen’s The Nightfly remains a desert island jam. His video for “New Frontier” now resides in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection. Backed by four upstate New York musicians, this sans-Walter Becker outing draws heavily on the Dan and ringer covers like the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street.”

This screening of the interactive series at the south entrance to the pool presents a new short entitled "Wildlands." Swim before or after, and talk to environmental groups who will be on hand.

Commemorating the founding of Australia-Austin link Penny Loafer PR, San Antonio powerhouse Girl in a Coma blows out the candles, recently touring the 10th anniversary of raging breakout Both Before I’m Gone. Stompy Southern Gothic Lincoln Durham joins in, as does the broodily intense My Jerusalem. A double feature of Emilys, Wolfe and Bell, along with Ghost Wolves, Otis the Destroyer, and other locals rage beginning at 6:30pm.

There's photography, and then there's … photography. Especially these days where everybody's got some kind of camera on hand and, like, seven Instagram accounts, it takes a person of magisterial skill and raptor eye to capture the world in ways worth paying attention to. Sandy Carson, frequent Chronicle contributor, is who we're talking about – and this exhibition features a decade's worth of the man's images of Austin concert crowds from 2007 to 2017, shot from the pit, exploring the symbiotic relationship between rock concert fans, the bands, and the photographer at music festivals.

All proceeds from the Smoke Out plates and beers from Houston breweries Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Co., Lone Pint Brewery, Southern Star Brewing Company, Brash Brewing Company, and Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company will be donated t​o​ Global Giving's Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to help with relief efforts.
