Cohan melodrama, first produced in the 1920s, set in a tavern on a dark and lonely road in the middle of the night, and here directed by Norman Blumensaadt. "During a fierce storm, the tavern owner, his son, and their servants give lodging to the Governor and his family, a vengeful woman, and a mysterious vagabond."
