This series is a video tribute to Tapestry’s history, legacy and future, in which alumni dancers returned to the company as choreographers and created new works for Tapestry’s current company – dance artists from Australia, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Mexico, and Texas. It's "an exciting and thought-provoking tap dance series that premieres works of some of the company’s brightest stars: the tap headliners who started their professional career with Tapestry!" Note: Each episode will be livestreamed on Sunday evenings.

The Junior League of Austin's online event and marketplace offers a host of holiday-themed happenings and goods from small businesses around the country. Funds raised go to JLA's signature programs such as Coats for Kids, Food in Tummies, and Kids in Cool Shoes, along with more than 30 local nonprofits.

Now, music lovers, now you can watch the opening production of Austin Opera's re-imagined 2020-2021 season – the Lauren Snouffer + Mark Diamond Digital Concert Event – as a limited-edition online release. And you know Nyle Matsuoka provides the piano for this wonderment, right?

We're calling it the pandemic edition, but Big Medium and associates just call it the Austin Studio Tour. It's that progressive arts organization's response to these damned 'ronas, is what it is. They're taking the annual West Austin and East Austin Studio Tours and combining them, then presenting them mostly via the internets – wherein the expanded website includes artist profiles, images of artworks, virtual studio visits, demonstrations, artist talks, and a handy map of outdoor installations and public art. Hundreds of artists in this town, in full digital force. Note: The Tour begins with a launch party on Fri., Nov. 13; it's a preview of the website (and an opportunity to acquire artwork before it opens generally on Nov. 14).

The beloved Austin holiday shopping experience returns for its 20th year with four shopping options to ensure safety in the time of COVID-19. For in-store shopping, reserve free tickets online for a "no wait" entry. Walk-ins are also welcome, but guests may have to wait outside if it's at capacity. Online shoppers can either pick up items in-store or have them shipped anywhere in the U.S. Personal shoppers and virtual shopping will also be available through the BGAB website. BGAB is a family-friendly experience where you can find one-of-a-kind, handcrafted jewelry, artwork, home goods, and gifts for everyone on your shopping list.

Little Ola's Biscuits, a take-away biscuit shop featuring Olamaie's famous flaky biscuits, has this series that's set to run until Thanksgiving, a series in which Austin's premier pastry chefs collaborate with Little Ola’s pastry chef Jules Stoddart to create innovative desserts incorporating the acclaimed eatery’s biscuit dough recipe. The Little Gay Shop is getting a jump start on holigay shopping with local queer makers and crafters slinging ceramics, art, vintage items, and more at this outdoor market. Plus, view and shop a gallery of 20-plus local and national queer artists – works will be displayed here digitally, too.

This distinctive fundraiser is the first of its kind for the Texas Food & Wine Alliance and they're going all out with a plethora of sumptuous packages tailored for wine lovers, cocktail fans, and foodies. Yes, the beloved Christmas-themed pop-up bar returns to The Eleanor for another year of spirited celebration. Joann Spiegel, the mastermind behind the brand’s cocktail repertoire, has created a roster of delightful, holiday-inspired libations, featuring cocktails that play on classic holiday flavors. New this year: Jolly Koala (gin, vermouth, and pine-cardamom-sage cordial), On Dasher (bourbon, mezcal, sweet vermouth, spiced hibiscus, bitters, and lemon), and a Fruitcake Flip (brandy, Jamaican overproof rum, Amaretto, fruitcake, cherry bitters, and a whole egg). (Our personal fave, the Bad Santa, is likewise among the heady lineup.) Also, the full cocktail menu will be available at the main downstairs and mezzanine bars. Austin Shakespeare presents Oscar Wilde's classic comedy via Zoom. "From the first moments of the play to the final revelation, Wilde's characters make me smile," says director Ann Ciccolella. "Earnest is his masterpiece of comic situations, and having Fran Dorn return to Austin Shakespeare as Lady Bracknell brings a whole level of joy to our experience."
