In “Police Oversight Chief Makes Her Leave Permanent” (News, Oct. 7), the article incorrectly stated that all three recently departed equity-related department directors were hired by City Manager Spencer Cronk; former Equity Office head Brion Oaks was appointed by former City Manager Marc Ott in September 2016. The Chronicle regrets the error.
