I remember going out on Tuesday, learning new shots with Emily-the-hotter-than-hottness bartender, filling a dance floor with summertime sweaty lesbians, listening to a DJ Amerykah mix that was always perky and request-friendly. (She never minded the expected Billy Idol-if-you-please.) Sigh.
But, now, that time has passed. And Sappho’s Isle, the one-night-a-week lesbian dance party is no more. We shall remember the good times we had. Wonder what they’ll do on Tuesdays there instead?
Farewell to Sappho’s Isle. “Storm the island one more time.” Dance, my sweet queerlings; let the music wash your souls.
