    Inversion Ensemble: Heroes/Monsters: Songs of Legends & Beasts

    Austin’s acclaimed choral collective explores mythic tales of heroes, monsters, legendary triumphs, and dramatic failures through new music by local composers. Hear musical stories of King Lear, the frightening dragon Ladon, ancient Baal, terrifying Medusa, and more. This concert includes premieres of new works by composers Trevor F. Shaw, Robbie LaBanca, Adrienne Inglis, Alexander Johnson, Marjorie Halloran, and Michael Alec Rose – as conducted by Rachel Davis. Adventure should always sound this good!

    Turned Voice

    This is an artist-led course that works with the singing voice in experimental, theoretical, and psychological contexts. Over three days, Sarah Ruth, Justin Jones, and Christina Carter will present divergent ideas, methods, and practices related to the art of singing.
