Welcome to the Summer UN Issue

Is there any other season that inspires such high expectations? Summer’s supposed to be synonymous with a break, but it actually takes a lot of planning to make those memories that’ll last a lifetime – the unforgettable vacations and no-strings flings, elaborately themed cookouts and #epic pool parties.

Yet when our editorial staff started mulling what to write about for our annual Summer Fun issue, it struck us that most of our ideas were about scaling back, winding down, chilling out. “Un-” – that most unambitious of prefixes – became our clarion call. Unwind. Unplug. Unstress.

In this issue, we’ve endeavored to take the work out of planning summer playtime. We’ve got loads of suggestions for big adventures (how about a night zip across Lake Travis?) and tiny treats (soak them feet, y’all!), some fun for the whole family, and other fun strictly intended for a mature audience.

Whatever you do, take it easy. A good time is unavoidable.
