It’s Pride Week in Austin – a nonstop celebration and commemoration of queer lives and LGBTQ history. Official and unofficial Pride-inspired parties, brunches, pool hangs, and art shows are taking over the city from now through Sunday, Aug. 12. Of course, the cherry of events happens Saturday (Aug. 11) with the official Austin Pride Festival at Fiesta Gardens (11am-6pm), followed by the parade down Congress Ave. and up Fourth Street (8-10pm). Aside from a gaggle of lovely local performers (like Louisianna Purchase, Boiz of Austin, and Selena tribute band Bidi Bidi Banda), fest attendees will be serenaded by the likes of CupcakKe, Amanda Lepore, Jody Watley, and more!
