THE LAKE TRAVIS ARTS LEAGUEwill sponsor The
Austin
Symphony Orchestra in a performance featuring an Independence Day Pops
program,
Sat, July 1, 8:30pm, in the outside amphitheatre at the Lakeway World
of
Tennis. The concert will conclude with a fireworks display. Tickets are
available for general admission with seating in the bleachers or on the
hillside, and reserved concert tables which include a pre-concert
cocktail
buffet. Proceeds will benefit com-munity arts and education projects.

THE BIGGEST AREA FIREWORKS SHOWwill be held
Mon, July
3, at Carlos ‘n Charlie’s,
5973 Hi Line Rd. on Lake Travis. The
extrava-ganza is produced by the Alpha Lee fireworks display company,
best
known for producing major shows in Dallas, Corpus Christi, SeaWorld,
and even
the Austin Symphony show at Auditorium Shores. The 20-minute program
includes
music from Whitney Houston, Lee Greenwood, and the Boston Philharmonic
Orchestra. The sky lights up at dark, approxi-mately 9:30pm. Call

THE AUSTIN SYMPHONYwill present its annual
concert
featuring music, fireworks, and fun on Tue, July 4, at Auditorium
Shores on
Town Lake. Bring a picnic basket and enjoy music by Gershwin,
Bernstein, John
Philip Sousa, Tchaikovsky, and other great composers. Conducted by
Timothy
Muffitt, the musical program will begin at 8:30pm, followed by
fireworks at
9:30pm. Admission is free; concessions will be available on site. Call

“THE WORKS” FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATIONwill
feature a
private viewing of the fireworks over Town Lake, barbecue prepared by
some of
the finest restaurants in Austin, live music, a silent auction, and
more. The
festivities will be held on Tue, July 4, 7pm at the Franklin Federal
Plaza, 111
Congress. Cost is $25 adults, $40 couples, $50 family (two adults, two
children; $10 each additional child under 16). Proceeds will benefit
the ARC of

GEORGETOWN’S SERTOMA CLUBwill sponsor a
special Fourth
of July Celebration, complete with a Children’s Bike Parade and Costume
Contest, family sports activities, a Firecracker Barbecue Cook-Off, a

of over 50 antique and classic cars, a special fireworks display, and
more. The
year’s celebration will be held Tue, July 4, beginning at 10am, with
the
