Zax Pints & Plates (312 Barton Springs Rd., 481-0100, www.zaxaustin.com) invites Austin’s legion of beer lovers to their second annual Great Austin Belgian Beer Festival. Both Wes Marshall and beer blogger Lee Nichols assure us the list of more than 30 international beers is stellar. Tickets are $22 in advance and $25 at the door. That buys a tasting glass and six 4-ounce samples of beer. Additional samples are $3 each. Food isn’t included in the ticket price, but the regular menu will be available. Saturday, April 5, noon-7pm.

Dai Due Supper Club has announced their schedule for the month of April, and their first event is a mixed-grill dinner at Rain Lily Farm (914 Shady Ln.). The family-style dinner will include organic spring fruits and vegetables, Gulf shrimp, area artisan cheeses, and homemade sausages. BYOB. Tickets are $65 per person. Make reservations by phone at 769-7261 or via e-mail at www.daidueaustin.com. Saturday, April 5, 7pm.

The 23rd annual Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival takes place April 10-13, and tickets are still available for some of the larger events such as the Stars Across Texas Grand Tasting, the Culinary Masters dinner, Austin Uncorked and Acoustic, Zen Nation, and the Sunday Fair at San Gabriel Park. Tickets are available at selected Twin Liquors outlets and online at www.texaswineandfood.org.
