The penultimate banked-track battle of the season is here, and no one is expecting any mercy. The Rhinestone Cowgirls picked up their tickets to the Oct. 15 Calvello Cup Championship bout in August when they blew up 2010 champs the Cherry Bombs. Now, with their perfect 4-0 season intact, the Cowgirls get to watch from the bleachers to find out who wants to knock them off their high horse. Standing 3-1, the Bombs will be looking to blast back into the betting, but the Putas del Fuego are not going down so easy. After stomping on the Holy Rollers’ prayers and cutting past the Hellcats on the points differential, they could pull the upset of the year. Can the Bombs get their rematch and a chance to keep the cup on their mantelpiece for another year, or will the Putas get down and dirty on their way to the top of the mountain?

Saturday, Oct. 1. 6pm doors; 7pm bout. Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd. www.txrd.com.
