It was announced Monday that the San Antonio Spurs have signed Austin Toros guard Alonzo Gee. Gee was called up earlier in the year by the Washington Wizards where he played in 11 games averaging 7.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game.

He’s been tearing it up for the Toros this year averaging 21 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 38.2 minutes in 36 games including four double-doubles. His presence will be missed in the playoffs for Austin but all concerned are happy to see him succeed at the highest level.

Gee should be available for the Spurs as the host the Houston Rockets Wednesday night.
