With the NBA tentatively scheduled to return Christmas Day, pro hoops fans can satiate their round-ball jones until then with NBA D-League play at the Cedar Park Center. The Austin Toros start their home campaign with an umblemished 1-0 record, having defeated the Texas Legends 101-96 last Saturday on the road. Former Legend Justin Dentmon, recently acquired by the Toros in a trade, led Austin to the W with 28 points, seven assists, and two steals. Boo-yah Legends! Guard Carldell “Squeaky” Johnson and forward Lance Thomas both contributed 25 points in the season opener. The Toros host West Conference rivals the Tulsa 66ers for their Trifecta Friday ($3 beers, $2 sodas, $1 hot dogs) and Winning Wednesday (if the Toros win, fans get a free ticket) promotions. Smartphone users should consider downloading the new (and free) NBA D-League Center Court app.

Vs. Tulsa: Fri., Dec. 2, 8pm; Wed., Dec. 7, 7:30pm. Cedar Park Center, 2100 Avenue of the Stars, Cedar Park, 512/600-5000. $8-99 plus fees. www.austintoros.com.
