Stars goalie Matt Climie

After taking the first two contests of the AHL’s Calder Cup Finals on the road from the favored Hershey Bears, the Texas Stars return home with a 2-0 series lead and could clinch the Cup in front of their fans in the Cedar Park Center by winning two of the next three. Game 3 is tonight, 7:30pm, with a few tickets remaining.

Being the jaded scenemaker/sports fan that I am, I don’t get too excited about very much. Happens maybe five times a year. These games are one of those occasions. I can’t wait for my workday to end and the puck to drop tonight at my new favorite sports venue, the CPC.

Here’s the preview. And here’s the schedule:
Vs. Hershey: Mon., June 7, 7:30pm; Wed., June 9, 7:30pm; Fri., June 11, 7:30pm (if necessary). Cedar Park Center, 2100 Avenue of the Stars, Cedar Park, 512/GO-STARS. $9-50.
