Jaime Moreno congratulates Kristen Gascoyne

St. Edward’s women’s soccer player Kristen Gascoyne was named to the third team of the 2006 NCAA Division II All-America team. Gascoyne attended the awards banquet in Indianapolis and was awarded her certificate by MLS All-Star Jaime Moreno of D.C. United. She was also selected as the Heartland Conference’s most valuable player, first-team all-conference and first-team all-Midwest region. Gascoyne led the Hilltoppers with 15 goals, nine of them being game-winners. She also tallied six assists. St. Ed’s ended the season with a 17-3-2 record, a considerable improvement from last season’s 6-11-2 record. They advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
