All the top European leagues take a break this week, and the national teams swing into action as qualifying for the Euro 2012 gets back under way with 29 games Friday, Saturday, and Tues­day. ESPN2 will show two of those: Czech Republic at Spain, Friday, 3:55pm; and England at Wales, Saturday, 9:55am. Elsewhere, the U.S. hosts Argentina in New York (ESPN2, Saturday, 6pm).

The Women’s World Cup TV schedule was announced this week: All 32 matches will be shown live in HD on ESPN and ESPN2. With the tournament in Germany, kickoff times will range from 6:45am to 1:30pm local time, June 26-July 17. The top-ranked U.S. may be in the toughest group, facing Sweden, Colombia, and North Korea.

Chelsea against Manchester United is the marquee match of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal draw just announced. On the other side of the bracket, archrivals Barcelona and Real Madrid will be odds-on favorites to advance to the semifinal; they face Shakhtar and Tottenham, respectively. The games are April 5-6 and 12-13.
