Indiana won their seventh NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship on Sunday, holding off an inspired UC-Santa Barbara squad through regulation and overtime and taking the title in a 3-2 penalty-kick shootout. That brings the U.S. season to a close; over in Europe, international matches are over until February, and the domestic leagues are just about halfway through; next week I’ll give you a rundown on where things stand at the midwinter break.
