The Urban Assault Ride returns from whence it came, Austin! For those not in the know, the UAR is the biggest bike scavenger hunt series in the universe, with teams of two traversing our great city (about 25 miles total), racing from checkpoint to checkpoint, overtaking obstacles (probably some cool water-based ones), and solving route-finding challenges in hopes of securing the grand prize, a limited-edition New Belgium Cruiser. All types of nonmotorized bikes are allowed, the ride is open to anyone 7 years of age and older, and awards will be granted in the following categories: co-ed, male, female, and family. The real party begins after the race, with plenty of New Belgium brew to enjoy while watching/participating in games and contests with the accompaniment of live music. Sun., June 26, 8am. Fiesta Gardens, 2100 Jesse E. Segovia, 303/408-0747. $60 per person. www.urbanassaultride.com.
