EA Sports NCAA March Madness 08 is on the shelves today and you’ll notice a familiar face gracing the cover. UT phenom Kevin Durant was picked No. 2 in the NBA draft by the Seattle Supersonics but receives one more collegiate honor as he is chosen by EA to be their cover star for this year’s model. No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden scored cover duties for 2K Sports superior College Hoops 2K8, but what does Durant care; he’s getting paid and actually getting some experience in the National Basketball Association while Oden sits out the year with a knee injury. Durant currently leads Seattle in minutes per game (34.2), points per game (20.3), and blocked shots per game (1.33). He is also shooting a dismal 39% from the field and leads the team in turnovers. Give him a year or two in the league and Durant will surely be a force to reckon with.
