Following the rousing success and record-breaking crowds of last year’s matchup between the Chicago Bandits and USSSA Florida Pride, the National Pro Fastpitch series returns to the Dell Diamond for a four-game, two-day series between the Akron Racers and the NPF Diamonds. The Diamonds squad includes ex-Longhorn shortstop Loryn Johnson as well as former foe and ex-Aggie Megan Gibson (pictured). Also on tap, the four-day youth softball South Pony National Championship tourney (Tue.-Sun., July 19-24. Old Settlers Park, 3300 E.
