The LXM Pro tour brings together two Austin faves: live music and sports. The sport featured here is lacrosse, not quite as popular as football or baseball in these parts, but that’s as good a reason as any to go out and see what all the hubbub’s about. If our country can become entranced with curling, we’ve certainly got a little room in our hearts for lacrosse. The day will feature a Lone Star Showdown grudge match between UT and Texas A&M; a showcase game featuring 40 of the world’s best lacrosse players; live music from Carolina Lair, L.A.X., and Bright Light Social Hour (recently voted Best Indie Band in The Austin Chronicle‘s 2009-10 Music Poll); and more. All events Sat., April 10. Pro lacrosse clinic: noon. UT vs. Texas A&M: 1pm. LXM Pro showcase: 4pm. Concert: 6pm. St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, 6500 St. Stephen’s Dr. $30; student discounts available. www.lxmpro.com.
