The fact that this event is being held at the stately Dell Diamond is a testament to the strength and popularity of the sport of lucha libre. And what is this lucha libre, you ask? It’s a form of Mexican pro wrestling known for its showmanship, the flamboyant masks the wrestlers (or luchadors) don, and the over-the-top grappling mayhem and high-flying antics that occur both in and out of the ring. Brought to you by Lucha Libre USA, Masked Warriors Live will feature a title match between Lizmark Jr. and the Latin Lover, the Triple Threat Ministar Match featuring the 4-foot-tall luchadors Pequeño Halloween, Octagoncito, and Mini Park, and much more. There’s a preshow party that is free with paid admission and they’ll be holding best dressed, loudest fan, and best sign contests. This is sure to be fun for the whole family.

Sat., May 12, 8pm (7pm, doors). Dell Diamond, 3400 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock. $10, $20, and $50. www.luchalibreusa.com/austin-event-page.
