Today (Tue., Oct. 20) has officially been proclaimed by Mayor Lee Leffingwell and Sen. Royce West as “Kevin Durant Day.” This proclamation celebrating UT’s superstar forward coincides with his Oklahoma City Thunder playing the San Antonio Spurs at the Erwin Center tonight at 7:30pm in an exhibition match.

Durant dominated during his one year at UT and went No. 2 overall in the 2008 NBA draft to the Seattle Supersonics who have since become the Oklahoma City Thunder. On top of too many NCAA awards to mention, KD was named the 2008 Rookie of the Year by the NBA.

Tickets for tonight’s game start at a very reasonable $15 and are available at all Texas Box Office outlets, by phone at 477-6060 or online.
