When they say “motor spectacular,” they really mean to say “monster truck show.” All your gear-grinding, metal-mulching, ear-piercing favorites are back, including the Barbarian, Get Er Done, monster Hummer Sergeant Smash, and many more. Competitions include side-by-side racing, wheelie contests, and freestyle. You also won’t want to miss the truck and tractor pull. There’s a free pit party Friday night from 6-7pm where you can meet the drivers, get autographs, and have your picture taken with the stars of the show. Bring the whole family and maybe some earplugs just in case.

Fri.-Sat., Feb. 10-11, 7:30pm (gates at 6pm). Travis County Expo Center, 7311 Decker, 854-4900. Adult:$20, advance; $22, day of show. Ages 3-11: $10, avance; $12, day of show. Age 2 and under: free. www.mapmotorsports.com.
