There’s going to be another capacity crowd at the CPC tonight (Fri., June 11, 7:30pm) as the Texas Stars host the Hershey Bears in game five of the AHL’s Calder Cup Finals. The series is deadlocked at 2-2 with the home team having lost all four games thus far. Let’s hope the Stars can break that trend tonight. Next team to win two takes home the Cup.

Last I heard there were only standing-room-only tickets available for tonight’s playoff game at the Cedar Park Center (2100 Avenue of the Stars). Call 512/GO-STARS (467-8277) or click here for more info.

Those lucky enough to have tickets will be treated to $2 domestic drafts and $1 hot dogs – as well as exciting playoff hockey, of course. The first 5,000 customers receive free Texas Stars Thundersticks. Not to be a hater, but Thundersticks have to be one of the worse inventions of the last couple decades. Just sayin’.

Breaking news: The NHL Network has announced they will be airing games five, six, and seven of the Calder Cup Finals.
Game 5: Fri., June 11, 7:30pm – Hershey at Texas
Game 6: Mon., June 14, 6pm – Texas at Hershey
Game 7 (if necessary): Wed., June 16, 6pm – Texas at Hershey
