Austin Bold FC will host the first USL Championship Playoff game in franchise history tonight, taking on LA Galaxy II at 7:20pm Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Bold Stadium at Circuit of the Americas.

The Bold dropped both of their meetings with the Galaxy during the season, losing 1-0 back in May in Los Angeles, and 3-1 at Bold Stadium in August. The latter game is a particularly bad memory: the second half may have been the team’s worst 45 minutes of the season, as they gave up three goals and took two red cards. Jermaine Taylor in particular may want some revenge – he was one of those red card offenders, and his own goal was the only score in the first game in L.A. So … third time is the charm.

This will be the final home game of the season; the winner heads off to California for a game Saturday at second seed Reno. So this is your last chance to celebrate this inaugural edition of the Bold: Sonny Guadarrama, Kris Tyrpak, Andre Lima, Xavier Baez, Kleber Gladiator, Amobi Okugo, Diego Restrepo … it’s been a likeable squad. And to help you celebrate, the Bold and COTA bring back $2 Beer Night! All 16oz domestic cans and drafts are only $2. Tickets start at $15 at www.austinboldfc.com.
