Harry Porter (Agapito) now lives in Mexico City, where he’s appeared in several telenovelas (Acapulco, Cuerpo y Alma) and appeared in Spanish-language films with Javier Bardem and James Gandolfini. He also does translation work and teaches business Spanish to executives. Every Diez y Seis de Septiembre (Mexican Independence Day), Porter can be found “in Tepoztlán, Morelos, giving the grito and singing mariachi songs with all my might.”
Mike Gómez (Campamocha) is a professional actor based in Los Angeles. In 1978, he was cast as Joey Torres in the premiere production of Zoot Suit at the Mark Taper Forum. He also appeared in the Broadway and film productions. He recently played Captain Gallardo in NBC’s TV movie based on the Hunter series. He was also one of the first Ferengi officers (DaiMon Lurin) in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Dyana (Elizondo) Ortelli (Dyana the doll) is a professional actress based in Los Angeles. Her numerous film and TV credits include Irene, the wacky fashion designer in the film Luminarias (2000). She currently has recurring roles in Lizzie McGuire and The Brothers Garcia.
Cara Briggs appeared in KLRN’s Sonrisas, a bilingual educational program, and was a company member of Project Interact for three years. She is currently creating a children’s TV show pilot. She lives in Austin.
Natalie Dowd (Berta) dances with San Antonio’s Flamenco Fuego. She lives in Austin and is a graphic designer for the Texas State Senate.
Aida Barrera is currently a research fellow at UT’s American Studies Department and is working on a new manuscript.
