20 Short Films From Beirut is a three-week series that focuses on how young filmmakers ñ the Lebanese “war generation” ñ deal with war, death, love, and hope. The films range from five-30 minutes in length and have English subtitles. All have been featured in international film festivals. The screenings take place for two more Fridays: April 21 and 28. The screenings are co-sponsored by the Arab Film Society, the Committee on Cultures and Cinemas of the Middle East, and the Austin Film Society. For more info call Charles at 471-5425.
