John Henson, host of the irreverent talk show review show Talk Soup, is leaving the program to pursue TV production opportunities with ABC.

“I love Talk Soup. I love the people I work with. But after four and a half years, I think it’s time to try something new,” Henson said. Henson has hosted Talk Soup since 1995, after the show’s original host, Greg Kinnear, left. The date of Henson’s final program has not been determined and a new host is yet to be announced.
