I’ll admit I had a whole other blog written before this game fell into my lap and demanded timely sharing with the Chronicle public. Solipskier is the speed metal love child of Canabalt and Line Rider, and that’s one crazy mixed-up kid. So strap on your carpel tunnel wrist brace and start clicking.
Created by the Mikengreg Games Co., Solipskier drops a skier onto the screen; it’s your responsibility to ensure that the ground is suitable for the myriad jumps and obstacles that will be coming your way. All you need is your mouse and a multitasking brain. The physics and strategy of keeping your skier supplied with airtime to avoid breaks in the course takes a bit of getting used to. Check out this video for some tips. Once you get the feel for it, it’s a rush of twitch gameplay.
Mikengreg consists of Mike Boxleiter who makes with the coding while Greg Wohlend does the illustrating. I was hoping something from them would make the cut for the Fantastic Fest Arcade, but we can’t really fault the FFA folks for bringing an awesome lineup of indie games.

I still don’t understand why the game’s called that. Thoughts?
