Not reviewed at press time. Released in a few cities this spring around the same time as Shrek, this animated feature decided to give up with nary a fight and hope for better prospects with its video release. Now, perhaps as a vague tie-in to all the publicity being accorded Reese Witherspoon in conjunction with the opening of Legally Blonde this weekend, The Trumpet of the Swan (which features Witherspoon’s voice work) glides in to Austin’s dollar house this Friday. Based on a 1970 story by E.B. White, The Trumpet of the Swan is a story about swan named Louie who is born without a voice but learns to blow a mean jazz trumpet instead.
