Live musical accompaniment by Golden Arm Trio and Brown Whörnet. This precursor to King Kong with its dinosaurs running amok in the big city is memorable for its amazing Willis O’Brien stop-motion special effects. Long available only in butchered prints, a loving restoration project over the last couple of years has reconstituted almost all of the original footage, providing the best print available of this film since 1925. It restores 15 additional minutes of lost footage. A 25-person band led by Golden Arm Trio and Brown Whörnet will accompany the film with an original score.
