Not reviewed at press time. Press materials for this Scottish comedy describe the story as “Rocky in curlers,” while The Los Angeles Times review describes it as “Strictly Ballroom with scissors.” The action kicks off when a misunderstanding lands Glasgow’s wackiest hairdresser (Ferguson, best known as Drew’s boss on The Drew Carey Show) on the shores of Los Angeles to compete in the World Freestyle Hairdressing Championship. Celebs Drew Carey, Cathy Lee Crosby, and David Hasselhoff contribute cameos. Kevin Allen last directed the little-seen Twin Town.
