The Austin Film Society’s Texas Filmmakers’ Production Fund has announced its 2006 awards to 18 “emerging film and video artists in the state of Texas … whose work shows promise, skill, and creativity.” Panelists Allison Anders, Sean Farnel, and Kate Horsfield decided on the recipients earlier this week, and grants which total $125,000 will be awarded in September, at which point TFPF will have awarded $675,000 to more than 200 people since 1996.
