SXSW Presents, the KLRU series featuring films and filmmakers from the SXSW Film Festival, winds down its current run with a double batch of Texas whack: Mike Woolf’s doc shorts “Growin’ a Beard,” about the annual St. Patrick’s Day beard-growing contest in Shamrock, Texas, and “The 72 Oz. Steak,” featuring the Big Texan Steak Ranch, air this Friday, Oct. 15, at 10pm on Channel 18 (Time Warner Cable Channel 9).
