What is most charming about this feature-length, beautifully shot documentary might just be the people who made it. Chronicling a road trip across America, co-directors/best friends “Britts” and Josephine ask the question “What is bisexuality?” They come out from behind the camera to create a poignant, intensely intimate energy within the film, capturing moments that explore the many different faces of sex and bisexuality from all over the country. “Hey, do you know any gay Mormons?” they ask while getting fast food at a drive-through in Utah. They talk to an African-American woman at a beauty shop: “Me being a woman,” she says, “I do not want to smell your vagina.” They’re right there, high-def camera in hand, when the characters they’ve been following are kicked out of their houses; dumped by their beautiful, poly-amorous, underwear-clad boy-toys; even when a young black man defines deviant sexuality as being “the opposite of black.” It’s like everyone they interviewed forgot they even had a camera.
