School of Rock

What do you get when you take the Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow, Austin’s expansive live music scene, and six Hollywood favorites, and put them together on the rolling lawn of the Long Center? Sound & Cinema.

Starting tonight, the new series will screen half a dozen cinematic staples roughly every other Wednesday (skipping a week for July Fourth, and squeezing one last one in before schools tarts) through Aug. 21. Sound & Cinema, put on by do512, the Drafthouse, and Aquasana, is all-ages, open to the public, and – best of all – free.

Check out the slate of films below, complete with which local band will be providing the night’s tribute soundtrack.
