Point Break
1991, R, 120 min.
D: Kathryn Bigelow; with Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves, Gary Busey.

For a while, Point Break rides the swell of an amphetamine rush: It’s a movie that’s going places. Bigelow stages the film’s action sequences with a brutal efficiency (they almost redeem the movie), but she can’t keep the increasingly silly script in check.
