Sometimes it seems like every day is Halloween in Austin (and never more so than when Al Jourgensen was living here), but this weekend is the real thing, which means too much to do and not nearly enough time to do it. Thank your lucky gibbous moons that Dannie and Jose Ramirez over at Pedazo Chunk Video had the forethought to get you out of the hell and into the fire with an all-night marathon of psychtronic films, performances by the Buruzuland Puppet Show, live music from border-rockers S.A.L.T. and Addixxion, visual performances by Albert and Dr. Strangevibe, and DJ sets by Arjuna, Mofo, G-Fire, and infamous Austin scalawag Johnny Slugg, who needs zero assistance when it comes to being spooky. Costumes are encouraged, as is camping, and food and beverages will be available on site, which by the way is the old Ghost Town in Manor (eek!). The whole gorgeous nightmare kicks off 6pm Friday, Oct. 29. Advance tickets are $10 at Pedazo Chunk, 2009 S. First, $15 at the door. More info, including directions, is available online at www.pedazochunk.com or by calling 441-3505.
