Stallone has been trying to murder Rocky/Rambo for a few movies now, and it is probably this comedy that will finally finish the job. As Snaps Provolone, Stallone makes good-hearted fun of his street-wise Italian-American persona and also of himself as big shot. I’m not used to having much good to say about the guy, but Stallone has evidenced a nascient sense of humor before, and here he allows it to blossom. I’m not used to praising Landis much either but I laughed enough that I’m able to praise Stallone and Landis without breaking out.
