Only the Lonely
1991.
Directed by Chris Columbus, Narrated by , Voices by , Starring John Candy, Maureen O’Hara, Ally Sheedy.

I wouldn’t say this new John Hughes/Chris Columbus co-production is as bad as their last (which, you may remember, turned out to be the most profitable comedy in American movie history, ha, ha), but it sure comes close. There are some good gags here, and I caught myself grinning more than a few times, but Hughes and Columbus are so set in their ways that everything they work on seems to look, feel, and sound the same.
