Local filmmaker Jen Tsai‘s story of the Sudan’s Lost Boys settling in North Texas will screen for the first time at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown (409 Colorado) on Sunday, Oct. 16, 4pm. Tsai – who is facing and fighting the real possibility of deportation after an incident on the Mexican border in 1996 – will be in attendance, along with the film’s editor and her husband, David Austin. Admission for the event (which is a private booking and not sponsored by the Drafthouse) is $8. For more information, see www.pleasehelpjen.com.
