Not reviewed at press time. It can’t be a good sign when a film’s star – in this case, the tireless self-promoter Paris Hilton – refuses to actively support this comedy romp in which she plays a sorority president in Florida’s trendy South Beach who puts the new pledges through their paces. Filming was originally completed in 2004, but the producers then decided to do some reshooting in order to include some nudity (though, reportedly, none of it is Hilton flesh). Next, some pesky hurricanes interrupted the reshooting. Although this film has long been expected to go straight to DVD, the release date of Dec. 19 has just been announced, with a limited and quickie theatrical release directly preceding it.
