Not reviewed at press time. Although ready for release three years ago, the events of September 11 pushed back the opening of this animated film to 2004. The film opens in 37 U.S. and Canadian cities for one week beginning Nov. 14 on Eid Al Fitr, a Muslim holiday marking the end of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. A further narrative complication might arise from the Islamic tradition that prohibits the visual representation of Muhammad.
