This historical adventure film details the 19th-century expeditions to Africa by English explorers Richard Burton and John Hanning. The contrasts are vivid between the natural wonders of the African continent and the trappings of the British empire, as are the observations of the masculine bonds that develop between the two men. The film will be shown in 70mm.
