A marital crisis between a philosophy professor and her artist husband erupts when the painter’s model enters the equation and forces a re-examination of sexual emotions. Part of the film’s originality lies in its portrayal of black middle-class artists and academics. The short film, “Back Inside Herself,” directed by Saundra Sharp, also screens.
