Opportunities to see Jean-Pierre Melville films dont come around too often, and when they do they shouldnt be tossed off lightly — especially when he co-scripted this one with Jean Cocteau. Its a perverse and hermetic tale about a strongly attached brother and sister, who live together in their littered room, hardly ever venturing out. Talk about inbreeding! Cocteau delivers the films voiceover commentary.
