Last Night at the Alamo
1984, NR, 80 min.
Directed by Eagle Pennell, Narrated by , Voices by , Starring Kim Henkel, Lou Perryman, Sonny Carl Davis.

Pennell’s follow-up to The Whole Shootin’ Match is another rough gem – kind of a Texas-made version of The Iceman Cometh in which we observe a cluster of regulars gathered together for the closing of their favorite bar. Wonderful ensemble performances enrich the soulful twang of this movie, which was written by co-producer Kim Henkel. Before the feature, Pennell’s short film “Hell of a Note” will screen. (See reminiscences about Eagle Pennell in our memorial tribute to his life and career.)
